Centre of Expertise on China and Korea

The Institute is home to a Centre of Expertise on Chinese and Korean Law that is unique in Germany. The research conducted under its auspices documents the evolution of civil law in the dynamic region of East Asia with a focus on the law of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Korea. The Centre of Expertise systematically researches Chinese civil law and strives to convey relevant information to a broader audience, thereby overcoming any existing linguistic or cultural barriers.
