Conference for Young Scholars on Sustainability and Law
The 4th Young Sustainability Law Conference (JNR 2025) will take place from June 19 to 21, 2025 in Hamburg. The conference provides a forum for young scholars working on sustainability and law to present their research, impact the legal discourse, and connect with fellow peers.
Our Call for Abstracts is now online! We look forward to receiving your submission by 28 February 2025.
We are an interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary team of scholars from three academic institutions in Hamburg: the Bucerius Law School, the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law and the University of Hamburg (Institute of Law and Economics). After three successful conferences in recent years in Munich, Halle and Vienna, we have taken on the task of providing a platform and highlighting the importance of sustainability in the legal discourse. With the JNR 2025, we aim to take an integrated approach to sustainability in law, bringing together insights from diverse legal systems, disciplines, and related fields of science. By combining expertise, we seek to foster a holistic view of sustainability that pushes beyond conventional boundaries and inspires new ways of thinking within the legal domain.
The JNR 2025 provides a unique platform to present your research, share knowledge and engage in inspiring dialogue across disciplines. We look forward to a lively participation and exciting presentations!
