Vincent Hoppmann receives Young Talent Award from the German Association of Comparative Law

The Association of Comparative Law (Gesellschaft für Rechtsvergleichung) has honoured Vincent Hoppmann, research associate at the Institute, with its annual Young Talent Award.

On the occasion of the 39th Conference on Comparative Law held in Berlin in September 2024, the Gesellschaft für Rechtsvergleichung (Association of Comparative Law) made a call for publishable papers – on the topic ‘Global South - Global North’ – to university students and early career academics under the age of 30. Vincent Hoppmann was awarded the Young Talent Award for his work “Umgekehrte Rechtserfahrungen: Lernprozesse vom Recht des Globalen Südens – Gleichzeitig zur Verbreitung und Vorbereitung von umgekehrten Rechtstransfers” [Reverse Legal Experiences: Learning Processes from the Law of the Global South – Simultaneously to the Circulation and Preparation of Reverse Legal Transplants].

Vincent Hoppmann studied law at Heidelberg University, where he also worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws and International Business Law. He has been a research associate at the Institute since 2024.
