Reconciliation of Career and Family
The Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law has developed numerous measures and offers to make it easier for its employees to reconcile career and family obligations. Parents employed at the institute are supported, in particular, via flexible working hours and work location, family-friendly event times, and childcare offers.
The Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law offers flexible and family-friendly work arrangements to all employees.
Telecommuting from a home office is also possible .
Together with the pme Family Service, the institute helps find suitable care for children aged 0 to 14, or for other relatives who require care.
In emergency situations, short-term care can also be booked through the Family Service.
In emergency situations, children are welcome guests at the institute: the toys and portable children’s bed available at the institute mean that every office can be transformed into a parent-child office.
To make it possible for all employees to participate in institute events, these are generally held during the core work hours.
For their sustained anchoring of family-conscious personnel policy within the organizational culture, the Max Planck Society and its institutes have been awarded the audit certificate of the non-profit berufundfamilie Service GmbH.
This certificate was awarded in 2018 for the fifth time (after 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2016).
