Event series

Event series

The Institute regularly invites high-profile legal scholars from Germany and abroad to speak at our established lecture series such as the Ernst Rabel Lecture and the Academic Council. Our Centres of Expertise have also initiated their own guest lecture series dedicated to discussing questions related to their legal spheres. Additional event formats foster academic exchange among early career scholars and support them in developing their networks within the Institute.

It is dedicated to the memory of Ernst Rabel (1874-1955), Institute founder and pioneer of modern comparative study. The biennial lecture is held by an outstanding researcher in the field of comparative law and focuses on basic questions arising in a particular area of Institute research. more
