Vita

Lukas Glöckner studied law at Trier University from 2019 bis 2025 with an emphasis on international commercial law and business law. Alongside German law, he also studied French law as part of the International Legal Studies Programme (FFA).

While a student he worked as student research assistant under Prof. Dr. Jens Kleinschmidt LL.M. (Berkeley) from 2021 to 2025; in 2025 he was also an assistant at the Zentrum für die juristische Examensvorbereitung (Centre for Legal Exam Preparation – ZfjE) on the Trier University.

After sitting for the first state exam in law in 2025, Lukas Glöckner commenced a program of study in France. In 2026 he was awarded an LL.M. degree in international business law at the Université Catholique de Lyon and a French Master’s degree in international trade and investment law at the Université Lumière Lyon 2.

During his time as a student in Germany and abroad, he received a scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.

Since September 2026, Lukas Glöckner has been working as a research associate in the Centre for the Application of Foreign Law under PD Dr. Jan Peter Schmidt. He is simultaneously working on his doctoral degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jens Kleinschmidt LL.M. (Berkeley).
