Yijie Ding earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in the field of law from 2007 to 2013 at the East China University of Political Science and Law. She sat for the Chinese state law exam in 2011. She acquired her Chinese qualification in the area of legal studies in 2012. In September 2016 she participated in the Summer School of European IP and ICT Law in Reichenau/Rax (Austria). She was awarded an LL.M. in 2019 at the University of Göttingen, where she is currently a doctoral candidate.

Yijie Ding has been employed at the Institute since April 2020.
