Vita

Michael Zeller studied law from 2016 to 2021 at the University of Augsburg. His studies were financially supported by the Max Weber Program of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts (operated by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation). He passed his first state law exam in 2021. From October 2017 until March 2023 he worked under Prof. Dr. Michael Kort (Chair of Civil Law, Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law and Labour Law), first as a student assistant and then, after completing his studies, as a research assistant. During his program of study he also worked with the University of Augsburg’s law clinic providing assistance in the area of tenancy law.

From 2021 to 2023 he completed his clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Munich with stations at, amongst others, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Munich and Tokyo. His clerkship concluded with his sitting for the second state exam in law in December 2023.

He has been employed at the Institute since 2024 as a research assistant working in the team of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Dr. h.c. Holger Fleischer, LL.M.
