Vita

Dharmita Prasad is a research associate working on her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ralf Michaels. She has been employed at the Institute since September 2023.

She earned her LL.M. from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, in international commercial law; and her BA LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law University, Jodhpur, India. She litigated criminal and civil matters from 2014 to 2017 at the Delhi High Court and at district courts before subsequently transitioning to academia. Since 2017, she has taught various law courses at UPES School of Law, Symbiosis Law School, and O.P. Jindal Global University. She earned her second master’s degree in 2023 in Women’s and Gender Studies from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

She has also been certified as a mediator by the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, New Delhi, and is a registered lawyer under the Bar Council of India.
