Vita

Lara Schmidt studied law from 2019 to 2025 at the University of Hamburg. During her studies she received financial and non-material support by the German Academic Scholarship Fund.

During her time as a student, she was an assistant at the Chair for Civil Law and Legal Education under Prof. Dr. Mareike Schmidt, LL.M. (Tsinghua) and at the Chair for European and Public International Law under Prof. Dr. Markus Kotzur, LL.M. (Duke Univ.). Additionally, she was also a student research assistant at the Institute, first under Dr. Mathias Pendl and later under Dr. Antonia Sommerfeld.

After having sat for the first state exam in law, she returned to the Institute in November 2025 as a research assistant in the working group of Prof. Dr. Ralf Michaels.
