Vita

Jakob Olbing was a research assistant at the Institute under Prof. Dr. Ralf Michaels from 2019 to 2023.

He studied law from 2013 to 2019 at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg and the Chinese University of Hong Kong and passed his first state exam in spring 2019. From 2015 to 2019 he also worked as a student assistant to Prof. Dr. Matthias Jestaedt at Freiburg University. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ralf Michaels, he is researching on the application of foreign antitrust law under European and U.S. conflict of laws since spring 2020. His research is also funded by scholarship of the German Business Foundation (Stiftung der deutschen Wirtschaft). Jakob Olbing spent the fall semester 2022 as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School.
