Simon Horn awarded fellowship at the Schöller Research Center for Business and Society

On 22 May 2025, Institute senior research fellow Simon Horn was named fellow of the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society in recognition of his research on forecasts in corporate law.

In partnership with the School of Business, Economics and Society of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society supports top-level research in Nuremberg within an international context. Under the sponsorship of the Theo and Friedl Schöller Foundation and in collaboration with FAU professors, outstanding scholars receive financial support toward the completion of interdisciplinary research. To this end, each year the Research Center bestows Schöller Senior Fellowships to internationally renowned scholars and Schöller Fellowships to promising early-career scholars.

Dr. Simon Horn, Maître en droit (Rennes), studied German-French law at the FAU and the Université de Rennes 1. At the FAU he was a research assistant both at the Chair for Civil Law, Private International Law and Comparative Law as well as at the Erlangen Centre for Islam and Law in Europe. From 2021–2024 he was a research assistant at the Institute. In 2022 he was awarded his doctoral degree from the FAU. He has been a research fellow at the Institute since 2024 and is working towards his post-doctoral degree (Habilitation) under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Dr. h.c. Holger Fleischer, LL.M. (Michigan).
