How do I get to the MPI for a research visit?

If you want to pursue your research at our Institute, you have two different options for applying.

If you plan to finance your stay out of your own means, please apply directly to the library. Please read the library’s information on Access and Registration before you apply.

The Institute awards a limited number of short term-scholarships for the use of the library to foreign researchers (up to a maximum period of 4 months). Please find information on our scholarship program here. If your application for a scholarship was not successful, you can apply directly to the library for a research visit at your own cost.

We also welcome fellows from other organizations, such as, for example, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the DAAD or the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (Tübitak).
