Born in 1976; 1996-2001 study of law at the University of Konstanz; 1999-2000 ERASMUS Scholarship for Complutense University Madrid; January 2002 first state law examination; 2002-2004 law clerk at Berlin Appellate Court; May 2004 second state law examination; research fellow at the Institute since October 2004; various research stays and lectures in South America; 2009 PhD conferred (University of Regensburg), awarded Otto Hahn Medal of the Max Planck Society; 2012-2013 Max Planck Fellow at the Institute of European and Comparative Law, University of Oxford; since 2008 board member of the Deutsch-Brasilianische Juristenvereinigung (German-Brazilian Lawyers Association)
