Scholarships from other organizations

Many fellows from other renowned organizations – such as, for example, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the DAAD – choose the Institute to pursue their research projects.

If you plan to apply for a scholarship from another organization, please contact our library, in order to request that a workstation be reserved for the duration of your intended stay.

Information for Applicants for TÜBITAK scholarships (Turkey)

Applicants for a Tübitak scholarship can request the use of a workstation in our library for a research stay of up to 6 months between 1 October and 31 March of each year. Please use our application form to submit your application. Please send the application form and the documents listed below to our Welcome Center (

The application deadline for the period 1 October 2020 to 31 March 2021 is 15 November 2019.

Required documents

  • Professors should submit a short CV and a concise description of their research topic.
  • Doctoral and post-doctoral candidates need to provide a detailed summary of their dissertation and a letter of recommendation from their supervising professor; these materials should clearly state the research topic and demonstrate the need to utilize the library of the Max Planck Institute.
