Program for War-Affected Researchers

The effects of the war in Ukraine has also affected the lives of legal scholars. The Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law therefore created a Fellowship Program for War-Affected Researchers, aiming exclusively researchers who are in a current emergency situation as a result of the war in Ukraine.

For this purpose, the Institute finances scholarships for research stays for research in the field of Private Law at the Institute in Hamburg as well as office workstations and access to our library. In addition, we can assist with helpful information with regards to accommodation. The offer is addressed only to Post-Doctoral Researchers or Doctoral Candidates.
