Max began his studies at the University of New South Wales, graduating with BA and LL.B (Hons) degrees in 2010. He graduated with a BA Honours degree in Philosophy (first class) from the Australian National University in 2011 and an LL.B (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town in 2014.
Max is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and he has worked as a law clerk for Justice van der Westhuizen and Justice Bosielo at the Constitutional Court of South Africa.
He has been at the Institute since September 2020.
