Luca Wimmer, LL.M. (Stellenbosch)
Luca Wimmer studied law at the University of Freiburg, Germany and the Université Pierre Mendès-France in Grenoble, France from 2010 to 2016. In 2016, he passed the First State Examination and then went on to work as a research assistant at the University of Freiburg under Prof. Dr. Sonja Meier until 2018. In 2018 and 2019, he studied for a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, which was supported by scholarships from the ZEIT Foundation and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
He is currently working on a doctorate in the areas of legal history and comparative law, which has the working title “Motivational mistakes affecting wills and gifts”. He has been the recipient of a doctoral grant from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation since 2017.
Luca Wimmer has been at the Institute since January 2020.
