Elena Dubovitskaya has been a senior research fellow at the Institute since 2015.
She studied law at Lomonosov Moscow State University. After working as a research associate at the Research Center for Private Law under the President of the Russian Federation, in 2003 she completed a dissertation in law on freedom of establishment for companies in the EC. Dubovitskaya studied law at the University of Bonn after earning her doctorate. In 2009 she became a researcher (Akademische Rätin) under Prof. Dr. Dauner-Lieb at the University of Cologne (Chair for Civil Law, Commercial and Company Law, Labour Law and the Development of European Private Law). In 2019 she earned her post-doctoral degree from Bucerius Law School (Hamburg) with lecture qualification awarded in the areas of civil law, company and commercial law, capital market law, comparative law and Eastern European law.
