Luca Kaller joined the Institute as a research assistant in September 2017.
From 2010 to 2014, she studied law in the English and German Law Dual Degree programme at the University College London (UCL) and the University of Cologne, graduating with both an LL.B. (hons) from UCL and a Bachelor of Laws from Cologne. She then studied law at the University of Cologne, passing the first state exam in 2017. During her studies, she received funding from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. She also worked as a research associate under Prof. Dr. Marc-Philippe Weller at Heidelberg University’s Institute for comparative law, conflict of laws and international business law.
She passed the second state exam in law at the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg in 2019. During her legal traineeship (Referendariat), she worked, among other things, at the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York.
