Yannick Chatard studied law and economics at EBS University of Business and Law as well as at the Université Paris-Dauphine. During this time he was a student assistant, initially, and later a research assistant under Prof. Dr. Tim Florstedt. He received a financial stipend from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and was also awarded a full scholarship from EBS University. His course of study in economics concluded in 2017 with the conferral of a Master of Arts in Business (M.A.). He sat for the first state exam in law in February 2018.
Yannick Chatard has been employed as a research assistant at the Institute since May 2018 where he works under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Holger Fleischer, LL.M.. His doctoral project was financed by a scholarship of the Arbeitskreises für Wirtschaft und Recht (Stifterverband); in 2020 he was a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge. At present he is a legal intern (Rechtsreferendar) at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg.
