Born 1984; 2004 - 2010 M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies and Law (University of Hamburg and Columbia University, New York); Arabic language studies at the National Institute of Languages in Bochum; 2006 Scholarship awarded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD); 2009 Visiting researcher at the Center for the Study of Democracy, Toleration and Religion, Columbia University.
