2001 to 2007 study of law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and also at the University of Oxford (Worcester College) as a scholarship holder of the German National Merit Foundation. Baccalaureus Legum in October 2004. January 2007 first state examination. 2007 to 2008 Magister Juris studies at the University of Oxford (St Hugh's College) as a scholarship recipient of the German Academic Exchange.

Since November 2006 research associate at the Institute. Currently Max Planck Fellow at the Institute of European and Comparative Law, University of Oxford (St Catherine's College).
