Cooperation and Academic Exchange

The Institute publishes the Zeitschrift für Japanisches Recht / Journal of Japanese Law (ZJapanR / J.Japan.L.) in partnership with the German-Japanese Jurists’ Association (DJJV), with which it also regularly cooperates in the organisation of symposia and guest lectures. The editorial supervision of the journal is carried out in close cooperation with the Australian Network for Japanese Law (ANJeL).

Particular attention is devoted to academic exchanges. The Institute benefits from an almost continual presence of guest researchers working in the field of Japanese law. Normally engaged in research stays of considerable length, they receive intensive support and assistance from the Institute’s Japanese Law Department. Reciprocally, an increasing number of Institute scholars travel each year to Japan in order to attend lectures, conferences and complete similar research stays.
