PhD / Doctoral Thesis
The Institute supports a large number of doctoral candidates through funding which has been provided by the Max Planck Society towards the promotion of junior scholarship. Additionally, some doctoral candidates are supported through research positions linked to research projects sponsored by third parties. Finally, as an element of international academic cooperation, the Institute awards scholarships to foreign doctoral candidates which typically allow for research stays several months in length.
