The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) consists of 14 centers comprising more than 80 interdisciplinary clinics and institutes and in addition to its teaching and research activities is one of the largest hospitals in Hamburg. The board of trustees advises the board of directors and oversees their administration of business. It is responsible for ensuring that UKE operational goals are being realised inclusive of its commitment to teaching and research.
