The University of Athens has honoured Klaus J. Hopt with its highest honorary title as a distinguished scholar in his field who has greatly advanced the understanding and appreciation of critical issues in the broad field of business law. Klaus J. Hopt already holds the title of honorary doctor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, the Université catholique de Louvain and the Université Paris V René Descartes and has received numerous academic awards.
