In recent years the strategic cooperation between China and Germany has made great strides forwards in the field of law. The goal of the workshop is to identify and discuss the differences of the two legal systems in an intercultural context. Dr. Knut B. Pißler has since 2002 been the research fellow responsible for the China Unit a the Max Planck Institute of Comparative and International Private Law. He is a founding member of the European China Law Studies Association (ECLS), board member of the German-Chinese Jurists' Association (DCJV) and an advisory member of the Journal of Current Chinese Affairs as well as the Journal of Chinese Law. |
