Internationalisation or Isolation: The Confusing Case of Australian Contract Law

Before his appointment as a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia in 1995, Professor Finn was a professor of law at the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University, Canberra. Additionally, he is a member of the UNIDROIT Working Group which is responsible for the review and further formulation of the Principles of International Commercial Contracts (PICC). Professor Finn has edited and authored numerous publications in the field of contract law, including Fiduciary Obligations, Law and Government in Colonial Australia, Equity and Commercial Relationships and Essays on Law and Government. For the academic year 2010/2011 he is serving as the Arthur L. Goodhart Professor of Legal Science at the University of Cambridge.
