The Hamburg Lectures on Maritime Affairs 2010

The International Max Planck Research School for Maritime Affairs and the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) invite you to attend this year's Hamburg Lectures on Maritime Affairs. Featuring renowned scholars and practitioners addressing current developments in the maritime field, all lectures and panel discussions are open to the public.

The schedule for the Hamburg Lectures 2010:


18. October 2010       “Maritime employment contracts in the conflict of laws

The above lectures will take place at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law; the topics, dates and times lectures to be held at the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea will be announced shortly.

The International Max Planck Research School for Maritime Affairs was established in 2002 and focuses upon the legal, economic and geophysical aspects of the use, protection and organisation of the oceans. It is the result of a partnership between the Max Planck Institut for Comparative and International Private Law, the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law and the University of Hamburg. The current spokespersons of the Research School are Jürgen Basedow and Ulrich Magnus.
