Dr. Markus Roth has been called to the Philipps-Universität Marburg for a professorship in Civil Law and Labour Law, subjects for which he had already been acting as interim chairholder since the winter semester 2008/2009.Markus Roth was awarded his post-doctoral degree (habilitation) at the University of Hamburg in 2008 and was qualified as a lecturer in the areas of Civil Law, German and European Economic Law, Labour Law and Insurance Law. His post-doctoral dissertation on private and occupational pensions (Private Altersvorsorge: Betriebsrentenrecht und das Recht der individuellen Vorsorge. Eine rechtsvergleichende Gesamtschau) was published in the Institute series Beiträge zum ausländischen und internationalen Privatrecht.
