Otto Hahn Medal for Dr. Christian A. Heinze

25.06.2008

The Max Planck Society is honouring Dr. Christian A. Heinze with the Otto Hahn Medal for his dissertation „Einstweiliger Rechtsschutz im europäischen Immaterialgüterrecht“ (Provisional Measures in European Intellectual Property Law). The work studies the influence of European law on provisional measures in intellectual property, in particular against the background of the recent Directive on the enforcement of intellectual property rights, 2004/48/EC. In 2007 the dissertation was published in the Institute series „Studien zum ausländischen und internationalen Privatrecht“ (Volume 195).

The Otto Hahn Medal is awarded in recognition of excellence in junior scholarship and aims to motivate gifted junior researchers to pursue careers in research or academia. The award, which includes an honorarium, is to be conferred during the annual general assembly of the Max Planck Society on 25 June 2008 in Dresden.
