With a multi-lingual collection gathered from throughout the world, the library is a “Central Legal Library”, and possesses a comprehensive collection covering international commercial law, international private law and foreign civil law. Scope
The Library of the Max-Planck Institute comprises at present approximately 480,000 volumes. Each year approximately 10,000 volumes are added to the collection. Subscriptions to approximately 2,000 journals are maintained. Each year more than 900,000 Euros are spent on the purchasing and binding, approximately 80% of this figure is represented by foreign literature. [more]
