Dr. Giesela Rühl conferred post-doctoral degree from the University of Hamburg

On 3 February 2010 Dr. Giesela Rühl was awarded her post-doctoral degree (Habilitation) from the law faculty of the University of Hamburg. She was qualified as a lecturer in the areas of Civil Law, Procedural Law, and Commercial Law, including specifically Insurance Law, European Private Law, Private International Law and Procedure and Comparative Law.
Her post-doctoral dissertation addressing the economic aspects of private international law will be published shortly by Mohr Siebeck.
From 2005 to 2008 Frau Dr. Rühl was a research fellow at the Institute. In the coming summer semester she will serve as guest professor at the University of Illinois (USA) and will thereafter serve as acting professor in Civil Law, Private International Law and Comparative Law at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena.
